Account and Acceptable Use Policy
For the Tabu: trading bots app (the version you run on your own server).
1. Your account
- You must be 18 or older.
- One account is for one person. Do not share your account or let others use it.
- Use a real email address that you can read: it is your username and is used for password resets.
- Choose a strong password that you do not use anywhere else, and keep your password-reset security word secret.
- You are responsible for everything done with your account and with the Trading 212 key you connect to it.
- If you think someone else has used your account or your Trading 212 key, change your password, disconnect Trading 212 in the App, delete or change the key in Trading 212, and tell us.
- You can delete your account and all its data at any time in the App: Settings, Account, Delete account.
2. Personal use and training only
TABU is for your own personal use and for learning and training purposes only. You may only connect your own Trading 212 account. You must not use TABU:
- to trade for other people, to manage other people's money, or as part of a business;
- to sell, rent or share access to TABU, its bots or its data;
- to sell or publish market data received through TABU (for example Yahoo Finance data), which its providers allow for personal use only.
3. What you must not do
You must not:
- break any law or regulation, including market-abuse rules (for example trying to move or manipulate prices);
- break the terms of Trading 212, Yahoo or any other service TABU connects to;
- try to get into other users' accounts or data, or into parts of the server you are not allowed to use;
- try to break, overload or slow down the TABU server (for example by sending very many requests);
- look for or exploit security weaknesses without our written permission (if you find one, please tell us);
- upload or run bot code that is harmful, that attacks other systems, that tries to read other users' data or keys, or that you do not have the right to use;
- copy, change, resell or reverse-engineer TABU except as the law or an open-source licence allows;
- give false information when creating an account.
4. Uploaded bots
On servers that allow it, administrators can upload their own bot files. You are fully responsible for that code and for every order it places. TABU does not check uploaded code. Never put your Trading 212 key, passwords or server address inside a bot file.
5. What we may do
To protect users and the service we may, where reasonable:
- lock an account for a time after too many failed login or reset attempts;
- stop a bot that harms the server or other users;
- suspend or close an account that breaks this policy or the Terms of use, or where the law requires it.
Where possible we will tell you why. Closing a TABU account does not close your Trading 212 account or cancel orders already placed there.
